Today I’d like to spread the word about some fun events near Charleston for adults and families alike.

First, we have the Charleston Jam on the Water Concert Series. This will be held on the Carolina Queen River Boat from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $22 for those who are 21 and older. It will be an entertaining event featuring great local bands, artists, and vendors where you can listen to great music on the harbor and enjoy amazing views. The last concert will be November 17th, so don’t miss it!

This second event is family-friendly: The Holiday Festival of Lights at the James Island County Park. It will last from November 10th through January 1st. There will be 700 magical light displays, tasty food, train rides, and tons of activities for the kids. The price will be anywhere between $15 and $150, depending on how many people you have with you.

The last event I have for you is the Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown, which is on November 10th and 11th at the Lookout Pavilion. This one is only $10 per person. The Throwdown will be a barbecue competition that Friday night, and Saturday night there will be a state championship wing competition. That’s sure to be exciting and delicious for those who attend. There will be live music, a drink competition, and a play area for the kids.
